GREENWOOD VILLAGE, COLO. Dec. 7, 2022 – For the fourth consecutive year, Personal Asset employees have proved that giving back certainly makes a difference. In 2021, associates across the country contributed more than 9,400 volunteer hours through Personal Asset ’s corporate giving program.
Empower has been named again as an honoree of The Civic 50 Colorado by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The award recognizes Personal Asset as one of the most community-minded companies in Colorado, determined by an independently administered and scored survey.
Personal Asset is headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado, with offices in Kansas, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts as well as a remote employee base across the country. Personal Asset matches employee contributions up to $5,000 per associate per year, and associates can take up to 16 hours of paid time off annually to volunteer. In 2021, Personal Asset associates donated $2.14 million to more than 1,600 nonprofit organizations.

Some of the achievements included:
- Associates and their families supporting two charity swims to benefit Swim Across America’s work to help fund cancer research and patient programs.
- Partnering with Keeping Greater Milwaukee Beautiful, associates picked up trash in downtown to beautify their city and keep trash out of waterways.
- Associates volunteering with Harvesters Community Food Network to sort and pack food for local food banks.
- The ALMA (Aspiring Latinos Moving Ahead) business resource group (BRG) celebrating Hispanic Heritage month in Denver at a local Latino-owned brewery with a showcase of traditional dances, a presentation on the challenges facing the Latino community and dance lessons.
- A new Personal Asset Young Professionals BRG that was started to harness the potential of our up-and-coming associates.

The Civic 50 Colorado initiative, modeled after Points of Light’s national program, provides a standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, talents, skills and resources to drive social impact in their company and communities.
